JACS reports ECUST New Progress of Molecular Machines Research in the Joint Research Center of Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists

The research team of Professor Qu Dahui from the Joint Research Center of Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists, ECUST has made important research progress in realizing the integration and functional regulation of artificial molecular motor motion recently. The latest research article entitled “Visible-light-driven rotation of molecular motors in discrete supramolecular hydrocarbons” was published in J. Am. Chem. Soc. (DOI: 10.1021/jacs.0c11752).

The above research work was completed by Dr. Shi Zhaotao under the guidance of Professor Qu Dahui of ECUST and Professor Yang Haibo of East China Normal University, and has also received guidance by Academician Tian He and Academician Bernard .L.Feringa. This work has been financially supported by the National Science Fund for Outstanding Young People, Major Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Frontier Science Center of Materials Biology and Dynamic Chemistry of the Ministry of Education, the Basic Science Center, and Major Science and Technology Projects in Shanghai.
