German Applied Chemistry Publishes ECUST New Progress of Photocatalytic Methane Conversion

Recently, the research group of Professor Wang Lingzhi and Professor Zhang Jinlong from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, ECUST has made the latest research progress in the field of methane photocatalytic conversion. The related research article entitled “Non-oxidative Coupling of Methane: N-type Doping of Niobium Single Atoms in TiO2-SiO2 Induces Electron Localization”, is published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition, a well-known academic journal of German Chemical Society.

The above research work was completed by doctoral candidate Chen Ziyu under the supervision of Professor Zhang Jinlong and Professor Wang Lingzhi. This research is funded by the Frontier Science Center of the Ministry of Education of Materials Biology and Dynamic Chemistry, the  Feringa Nobel Scientists Joint Research Center, the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. In XAFS spectral analysis, the research work was given help from Professor Masaya Matsuoka of the Osaka Prefecture University of  and Dr,Takashi Toyao of the Hokkaido University.
